National CityNational City's African American History Essay Contest provides long-range PR value for the corporation. Public Relations efforts for this event begin in January of each year and extends through May. Outcomes: As a result of the PR efforts, National City has appeared on WPXI TV, KDKA TV, WQED, KQV Radio and in various publications. For the past 15 years, the essay contest has helped National City build strong relations with public and private schools, nonprofit organizations, churches and residents of Pittsburgh.
