The Ebony & Ivory Ball

The Ebony and Ivory Ball is a bi-annual event sponsored by the Women of Pittsburgh 2000. The Ball was launched as a celebration of unity between Christian women of different races.

At the time that the Ebony & Ivory Ball concept was created, Women of Pittsburgh 2000 was a relatively new, unknown organization. They approached Bynums about how they could project a quality, classy image that would attract people to the event and to the cause.

Bynums developed a graphic concept, which included the creation of a classic logo, color scheme (black, white and silver), invitations and a program. All were centered around the theme: "Celebrating Racial Harmony".

Outcomes: Over 500 people attend this bi-annual event. The Ebony & Ivory Ball has been successful in raising as much as $90,000 per event. In addition, it has become a premiere society event, which fosters racial harmony among various churches.
